The Championship Betting Odds: 8/1 Saturday Footy Treble!

We’re still on the hunt for our second treble of the season after a poor showing last week.

The early kick-off sailed in – Aston Villa took all three points against Everton. But Leeds lost against Newcastle, and Manchester City were held to a draw by Southampton.

So we dust ourselves down and go again, and with there being no Premier League action this weekend, we’re going to be taking a look at the Championship.

Let’s get stuck in!

Football Odds

Luton Town vs Blackburn Rovers

Our first pick comes from Kenilworth Road as Luton host Blackburn.

Luton’s five-match unbeaten streak in all competitions came to an end when they lost at Sheffield United last weekend, but they responded with a hard-fought success against Bristol City three days later.

Although they currently trailed second-placed Blackburn by 14 points, they do have two games in hand on their weekend opponents, so a victory here could move them further into the playoff picture.

Blackburn had only won once in their last four games before securing a late win over Middlesbrough, which could prove pivotal come the end of the season.

Rovers will know they’re in for a tough game. Luton have only lost three times in 13 outings at home this season.

For that reason, we’re leaning towards a Luton win at 7/5.

Millwall vs West Bromwich Albion

Our second pick comes from The Den as Millwall take on West Brom.

It’s now just one win in six Championship games for West Brom – not good enough for a team with promotion aspirations.

Albion have lost back-to-back games away from home and have only won once in their last nine matches on the road. However, they still have the best defence in the Championship.

Meanwhile, Millwall aren’t in much better form. They’ve lost their last three league matches in a row along with an FA Cup exit to Crystal Palace.

Tough one to call but we think West Brom will have that little bit of extra quality needed to take the three points.

Baggies win at 5/4.

Queens Park Rangers vs Reading

Our final pick comes from Loftus Road as QPR face Reading.

The Rs are currently fourth in the table and unbeaten in five league matches, looking to put pressure on the automatic promotion places here. Meanwhile the Royals are hovering just two points above the relegation zone in 21st.

Mark Warburton’s side have only lost three home games in the Championship this season and have kept clean sheets in four of their last six matches at Loftus Road.

Reading’s 4-3 defeat to Huddersfield Town last weekend is their fifth consecutive loss in all competitions.

Looks to be a fairly straightforward one this –  famous last words.

QPR win at 8/15.

Summary

Luton to beat Blackburn

West Brom to beat Millwall

QPR to beat Reading
